When I first started this, I wasn't expecting great things, with the writer being a showbiz reporter. But, heck, the synopsis sounded great, so I gave it a go.
And I'm so glad I did. Read this in three days (I couldn't put it down). The plot raced along and was really exciting - I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. There were a lot of characters, but they all brought something different to the story.
The reason it lost a star, was mainly because I got sick of all the name dropping. Every two minutes we were being introduced to a new celebrity or a brand name. It just got a bit tedious after a while - it wasn't really necessary.
This book is definately worth a read. I'm not pretending it's the best writing in the world, but it is a great chick lit read. I really enjoyed it and look forward to the author's next offering.
