Book Description

***Previously published as Bad Boys Ahoy***

Scandalous Liaisons by Sylvia Day is a trio of classic sensual romances, linking the tales of wicked rakes and the flawless aristocratic young women whose hearts - and bodies - they melt.

In Lucien's Gamble Lucien Remington, a debauched libertine, finds the untouchable Lady Julienne La Coeur dressed as a man in his gentleman's club. In Stolen Pleasures, Olivia Merrick, a merchant's daughter, finds out that her new husband, Sebastian Blake, is actually high-seas pirate Captain Phoenix. . And in Her Mad Grace Hugh La Coeur, the Earl of Montrose, shelters from a snowstorm in an eerie mansion owned by a mad duchess. But her companion, fiercely independent Charlotte, might just keep him warm in the night . . .

Praise for Sylvia Day, bestselling author of the sensational Bared to You and Reflected in You, first two books in the Crossfire trilogy:

Shades of Grey eclipsed by new novel (Evening Standard)

From the Inside Flap

Oh, those naughty rakes. With their wicked winks, sensual smiles, and bad boy habits, you just can’t take them out in polite society. But who wants to go out when you can stay in…?

Sebastian Blake, Earl of Merrick, long ago fled the responsibilities of his title to become the infamous pirate, Captain Phoenix. But the booty he’s just captured on a merchant ship is a fierce tempered minx who claims to be a bride…his bride, married to him by proxy on behest of their fathers. He could shame his hated family and return his beautiful wife untouched, but no treasure has ever proved more tempting to Sebastian, and making their marriage a true one—in every sense—is his one urgent desire…

Lucien Remington’s reputation as a debauched libertine who plays by no one’s rules—in business or the bedroom—is well deserved. He gets what he wants, social repudiation be damned. But society can keep from him the one thing he truly desires, the untouchable Lady Julienne La Coeur. Until she sneaks into his club dressed as a man and searching for her irresponsible brother. Suddenly she’s in Lucien’s grasp, his to take, and his mind is filled with the most wickedly sinful thoughts. A gentleman would walk away from the temptation she presents. But then, Lucien has never claimed to be a gentleman…

Hugh La Coeur never wanted to be the Earl of Montrose. Wine, women, and a hefty wager are preferable to responsibility of any kind. It’s certainly preferable to spending the night in an eerie, neglected mansion owned by a legendary madwoman. The duchess’s companion, the fiercely independent Charlotte, is another matter altogether. Hugh would be happy to spend as many nights in her bed as possible. He knows she’s hiding terrible secrets, but for once in his life, Hugh has the desire to take on someone else’s burden as his own, no matter what the danger…

They’re mad, bad, and totally irresistible…

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Bad Boys 19 Feb. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Excellent - three stories- so well written that I honestly could visualise them right before my eyes. I chuckled and smiled at the antics of these glorious rakes; the intimate scenes were truly enjoyable and so cleverly written that you experience every single sensation as you travel through the scene. This book is written in the grand style of the Queen of Georgian fiction and as as a direct result of reading this, I downloaded Georgette Heyer's These Old Shades and Devil's Cub and thoroughly enjoyed them all over again.

4.0 out of 5 stars 3 books in 1 what's not to love! 8 Jan. 2015
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I do love a good Sylvia Day book and this is three in one so even better. If you were born in this time it seems that being ravashed by a rake was the thing to do. Wicked bad gentlemen being tamed by there ladies (the only ones who can really control them - their perfect matches).

In 'Stolen Pleasures' you have pirate Captain Phoenix (Sebastian Blake) who finds out he has stolen his own bride Olivia Merrick. Bit of a shock to him and her when he lets her know. Fun adventures to be had on the sea. Who wouldn't want to be taken by a well built pirate.

In 'Lucien's Gamble' you have a sister that would do anything to help get her brother out of trouble. Even if that means dressing as a man and entering a gambling hall. Its a shame (or delight in the end) that Lady Julienne La Coeur can not disguise herself enough for Lucien Remington not to notice - think its how tight the trousers are. They have all sorts of naughty fun in the weeks that follow. The stakes are high though as Julienne is gambling with her heart to get the man she loves to admit he loves her in return.

In Her Mad Grace you have Hugh La Coeur sheltering a storm with the mad Duchess with only Charlotte to keep him company in the day and his bed warm at night ;). There wasn't a lot to the mystery to this one but as it is only a short read you couldn't drag it out for long. In the end you still have a hot little romance to get stuck into.

Well worth the read so if you like Sylvia's books then check this one out :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Three interlocking stories 23 May 2013
By SusieQ
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I brought this book as I am reading my way through all Sylvia Day's regency books and I am enjoying them all. Even though these 3 stories were all interlocking they each provided an individual story with plenty of good romance. The first was about Lord Sebastian Merrick aka Captain Pheonix and his bride-by-proxy Olivia, then we move onto Lucien Remington, a gaming club owner (and friend of Sebastian) and the lovely debutant Julienne Le Coeur, who has to save her family from ruin and the final story about Julienne's brother, Hugh Le Coeur and the reclusive Charlotte.

5.0 out of 5 stars WARNING ! Read 2nd story BEFORE 1st one 8 July 2014
By Ali H
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Had to give 5 stars as I love all 3 stories BUT be warned,if you read the first one, before the second one ,you will have the outcome of the second story revealed before you have even started reading it Can not imagine why the publisher printed the book in that order ! Did they not read the contents ?! I know anyone who reads this genre knows that there is pretty much always a good ending, but it does spoil story 2 having the outcome there in black and white at the end of the first one !

4.0 out of 5 stars All the despots together 7 Jan. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Think I enjoyed this as there was a connection to some of characters I had read about before. Sometimes there are characters in books that are just there but it was good to get some insight. Favourite was Lucien and Julienne although I have had to prevent myself from re-reading the map of the West Indies scene. Failed orienteering as a kid I think N & S would be more etched in my mind under these conditions. Good read if you like this kind of thing and I do!

5.0 out of 5 stars Scandalous 28 Dec. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I love practically anything Sylvia Day does and even though this is early work from her it doesn't change the fact she is absolutely brilliant. The only drawback I had to this was that the first two books were the wrong way round but it didn't stop me reading them. The usual hot brooding man and (not quite) damsel in distress storyline works well and there are the usual sex scenes that Sylvia can provide which make any book she writes scandalous.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great 14 Jan. 2015
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've read many of Sylvia Day's books but hadn't got around to this one for unknown reasons. I was slightly concerned I wouldn't be able to get as involved in the stories as I would have liked knowing that there is 3 shorter stories in one, however I was wrong and was engrossed as I always am with Sylvia's books. I loved the characters and how their stories interlinked. A must read!!
