5.0 out of 5 stars Donna has done it again 11 Dec 2000
By Crystal Hayden - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Although Donna hasn't wrote a book for Arabesque in a while she has been tremendously busy. She comes back with a follow up on the children of the characters from her tale Scandalous.

Justin and Vaughn's daughters are very independant and passionate about their work just like their parents. They have become best friends as well. Things are tested when they fall for the same man. After four years Chad Rushmore has returned thinking about having a relationship with Simone but after a misunderstanding he falls in love with Samantha. The trio is involved in a history making court case. Simone and Chad must put all of their feelings aside in order to work together and not hurt Samantha who doesn't know the two had an affair.

Although there are about 350 pages this is a very quick read. Donna does an excellant job in dealing with the relationship between the step-sisters and the men in their lives.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed 19 Dec 2010
By LL - Published on Amazon.com

After reading the first book, Scandalous, I was excited to read the sequel. However, the story line really annoyed. I wanted to read a romance, but I did not feel the connection between the characters. There seem to be a bigger connection between Simone and Chad, but in the end, he ended up with Samantha. Don't get me wrong, I wanted Samantha to find her love, but I felt that Chad was stringing Samantha along. I still cannot fathom how they are suppose to be family, but Simone did not inform Samantha that she slept with Chad. Ugh!

1.0 out of 5 stars So disappointing (Spoiler) 3 Dec 2010

I have loved all of Ms. Hill's previous books; but this one is the worst. The story line was unbelieveable and pathetic. The two characters of Simone and Chad meet in a previous book when her mother and step-father meet. There was so much chemistry between those two; they had to end up together. This book after finding out they were intimate; he ends up with her step-sister. Which makes me wonder did she reread the previous book before she set out to create this mess. This wasn't a love story to me this was a train wreck. What sister (with any morals) would sleep with a man her sister previously slept with, that was nasty? After reading this book I choose not to read any others; it was a total let down, when you care about characters and want them to succeed. I read romance novels to experience the possibilty of love; this was like a BAD Jerry Springer show!
