As other reviewers have indicated, Moreland surveys a number of theistic proofs and defends the core truth-claims of Christianity. The arguments are presented well and the author provides extensive references to the primary literature. The treatment of the Kalam Cosmological Argument (repopularized in the 1970s by William Lane Craig) deserves careful consideration by readers.

Perhaps the best book on Christian apologetics presently in print.

Cogent 2 May 1997

Dr. Moreland offers an excellent presentation to theistic apologetics. The only flaw in this work seems to be the total ignoring of the Old Testament, with the exception of his comments on Genesis and science. Being that the Old Testament is absolutely essential to the Christian world view (Messianic prophecies; proto-evangelium, et al), it seems that this is a notable exception. This flaw is also found in William Lane Craig's, *Reasonable Faith* (Craig *completely* ignores the Old Testament). In all, it is still an excellent work worthy of any thinking person's library.

Defense of Christianity 13 April 1998

This book is a great defense of Christianity. I particularly enjoyed Moreland's presentation of the argument from mind for the existence of God. He also deals with issues concerning God and ethical systems as well as how science and religion should interact. A fine book.
