very pleased with this. Bought it for christmas for my 6 year old. Husband loves it too, brings back memories!! Will be buying an extension set as the cars are so powerful they can easily cope with a bigger track. overall good fun and worth the price.

Just used the Subaru in this set for the first time and it has just stopped working. Completely dead. It gave off a hot electrical smell and a couple of minutes later just died. Will ring the manufacturer tomorrow and see how we go.

Scalextric is maddening. When it works it's fantastic but ... within 24 hours of running both rally cars had problems: the subaru's plastic slot had snapped (stress fracture) and the focus's slot had a stress fracture developing. A trip to the local stockist got these repaired (at our expense) but ... then the subaru stopped working and the manufacturer was phoned to request a replacement. This was "no quibbles" but took over a week to arrive. It's now working fine (at least for now!). Such a pity Scalextric doesn't have the build quality of, say, Playmobil.
