Enter the exciting world of Scalextric Digital with this large circuit including two Jaguar XKR slot cars and a powerbase. This set is built for speed with long stretches of track, gentle curves, and super-resistant cars, offering players exciting GT-inspired racing that includes tactical over-taking, a feature exclusive to the Digital range of Scalextric.
The powerbase provided supports up to four cars and the layout is fully compatible with standard Scalextric track pieces. Most analogue slot cars can even be converted to digital too, making expansion and incorporation with the analogue Scalextric range a breeze. All this makes Digital Race Line an excellent introduction to Scalextric Digital, whether you're new to slot car racing or seeking to step up from your current circuits.
This set includes everything you need to get started with Scalextric Digital, including a large circuit and two digital chip-installed cars. Additional digital cars are available, or you can easily convert most standard cars to run on digital layouts. The super-resistant Jaguar XKR racers feature easy-change pick-ups and the Magnatraction system to help them stay on the circuit. A total of 6.3 metres of track is featured with this set, including two lane-changing track sections, which requires a total of 250 x 135 cm of space in which to set up and play.
British car manufacturer Jaguar has been producing the Jaguar XK grand touring series since 1996. The two slot cars included are emblazoned with Jaguar's branding around bold orange and green colours on sleek black bodywork. The hubcaps, grills, and spoilers are detailed yet durable enough to withstand the odd tumble, true of all in the super-resistant type. Added Magnatraction helps minimise off-circuit collisions and both cars feature easy-change pick-ups.
Digital allows you to race more than two cars at the same time and perform amazing realistic overtaking and braking manoeuvres on your opponents. By pressing an extra button on the digital hand throttle, you can make your car switch lanes on special sections of track, allowing you to overtake or strategically block your opponents' cars at key moments in the race. Each set comes with digital cars and more can be bought separately, and you can even convert analogue slot cars you own to digital.
Most standard cars are DPR (digital plug-ready), including the ones in this set, and can be converted to digital in under a minute just by slotting in a digital plug (also available separately). Digital layouts are fully compatible with standard Scalextric track pieces. Scalextric Digital offers the most advanced and exciting experience yet for racers, whether you're new to Scalextric or seeking to build on your analogue sets and cars.
If you find that one of your Scalextric vehicles is not steering correctly, it may mean that the braid plate is loose (this can be caused when vehicles are crashed together). In order to refit or replace the easy-fit braid plate on one your Scalextric vehicle, please follow the steps below to get your car up and running again:
1. Ensure the tail of the braids are facing towards the rear of the vehicle, not the front.
2. Place the braid plate onto the rear of the blade.
3. Pull the braid plate over the front of the blade.
4. Sliding the plate onto the blade, ensure you push the plate until it clicks into position.
If you have a problem with your Scalextric set, please contact the Scalextric customer service helpline on 01843 233525.
