Having bought this as an upgrade for the Cardo Scala Rider headset that came with the TomTom Rider V2, I can't say I'm disappointed. In the local area it allows me to ride round listening to the FM radio without the faff of retuning, for longer runs I can listen to my MP3 player using a small FM transmitter to link the MP3 player to the headset. That all leads me on to the one little thing that'd improve the Scala FM, hence the lack of the fifth star - the fitment of RDS so it can be tuned to a radio station and automatically retune as I go.
Even with earplugs in, I can clearly hear music, navigation instructions and mobile phone calls at speed. Even when using the headset to talk on the phone, people are surprised to find out I'm riding a motorcycle. The speakers aren't at all intrusive and don't cause any undue pressure on the earlobes.

I like this bit of kit. It's pretty easy to install and use. A bit of your favourite music on a long ride adds to the pleasure plus I use the bluetooth connection to receive satnav directions and thus avoid taking my eye off the road. The particular supplier via Amazon was good for service and price.

Scala Rider FM,
This review is from: Scala Rider Solo FM Bluetooth Headset for Motorcycles (Electronics)
Good solid bit of kit, easy to understand instruction book, good large touch pads so easy to use on the move. Very easy to link to my TomTom rider sat nav. Clear sound quality despite the heavy rain puring down around me when first used. Only problem is that I have a Nolan flip up helmet and the attachement supplied doesn't quite fit it as well as it could.
