This is an excellent piece of equipment for any motorcyclist wishing to travel or tour using Sat Nav.
The kit comes with two sets of headsets and microphones already paired to each other. Built in is FM Radio with 6 presets and RDS. You can talk to another rider at up to one mile although I have yet to test this range.
For me, the greatest advantage is that this system links directly through Blue-Tooth to my new Garmin Zumo 660 for Motorcycles. With the two units paired via Blue-Tooth it is possible to hear every instruction from the Garmin Sat Nav, through 'loud speakers' of the head set in the crash helmet.
It is possible to connect a Mobile Telephone via Blue-Tooth but the recommenation is that if you have set up Sat Nav via Blue-Tooth, then firstly, pair your Mobile Telephone with the Sat Nav for hands free 'phone calls. I received a 'phone call whilst riding at 70 mph and although there was wind noise, the caller was able to hear me well. You can voice dial if you have previously recorded a 'voice tag' in your Mobile's Address Book.
I downloaded a 'Firmware Update' for the two headsets using my laptop and very simply linked the headset via the supplied USB cable to install the update. This USB lead doubles as a charger if you can't find a mains socket for the charger. A clever Mains Charger Plug accepts the USB plug which can also be plugged into the Computer USB Socket. The main body of the Headset detaches from the helmet clamp to make it easy to charge it up without having to remove the 'helmet fixing unit' from your helmet.
The claimed Battery Life of 10 hours talk time seems to live up to expectations. A tour across France lasting 11 hours, with frequent stops, saw me using the headset on a single charge, right up to my home in UK, 16 hours after starting my journey. I switched off the unit at each of my frequent stops to preserve battery life
This is a piece of equipment of exceptional quality which 'does what it says on the tin'.
