In penning the eponymous single for her third album Gold, Britt Nicole drew inspiration from some of the deeply devoted fans she’s amassed over the years. “I’d gotten lots of letters telling me, ‘I’m struggling, I’m being bullied, I don’t feel like I fit in,’” says the newest pop singer/songwriter signed to Capitol Records. Product Description

Hope and restoration best describe the ministry; can't-sit-still rock-infused pop describes the music. The artist is newcomer Britt Nicole. Britt's Sparrow Records debut is packed with Natasha Bedingfield and Gwen Stefani-like anthems brought to life by the singer's satisfyingly soulful vocals. The 2007 release aims to nurture and minister to everyone who may be discouraged or broken hearted. Britt has a heart for teenage girls. She has a desire to show them that through Christ they can find hope and restoration.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quite frankly a wonderful debut album 22 Jan 2008
Format:Audio CD
I only brought this album today, and i love it already. I saw the producer, had never heard of Brit before, but thought well ill give it a go. and boy im gonna give this album a few more goes very soon too. So Brit could fall into the list of many new teen Christian singers that seem to be coming out at the moment, but like Jessie Daniels, this girl is definitely a winner. There is so much honesty and fun and vibe in this record. Tedd t always has been a safe pair of producing hands. With songs written in part by Cindy Morgan too, this all comes together for a real blast.

i love albums and artists who dont hide away from their thoughts on different subjects. and here is a girl who doesnt.

The album has a feel that is not overproduced. The tone is just right. The vibe of the opening Holiday really kicks you into rhythm straight away. But there are also plenty of softer and intense songs too. Dont Worry Now Is a wonderful song of loss and healing, and When She Cries is also a brilliant song with a grown up lyric. This girl is brilliant. I love the pop of Say It and You. I love her strong words too on Ready too. Brilliant stuff.

This is definitely worth buying i can tell you.

3.0 out of 5 stars A very respectable pop album 14 Aug 2007
Format:Audio CD
In the world of "label everything on the shelf" America, Britt Nicole is "Christian" music. I'm glad they told me because by listening to Say It, you wouldn't particularly guess.

Some might prefer to label her the latest in a long line of Avril Lavigne wannabees who will never make a career out of this music malarkey. Indeed, a cursory glance over her mere existence would probably lead you down that path, but that would not be doing Miss Nicole any justice.

Becuase whilst there is no escaping the fact that this sounds a lot like Avril Lavigne and her ilk, there is plenty of evidnce that Nicole has the ability to stand out from the pack.

Sure there is a lot that blends into the "teen-pop" pack, but there are a smattering of genuinely catchy, knock-out pop moments on her debut album.

Sunshine Girl is the sort of radio-friendly pop ditty that you can imagine blaring out of your car stereo whilst someone like Fearne Cotton (shudder) babbles on about the ususal nonsense. Holiday has a slinky electro vibe, with a lovely string riff (or whatever you want to call it) and a positively addictive drum beat. Believe has the sort of chorus that would have teen girls across the world singing along.

Of course there is a fair amount of tracks that don't really go anywhere and fit the template a little bit too tightly to really become anything memorable.

Still this has enough good stuff to give it a reccomendation, if it sounds like your kind of thing. And lets face it, if Kelly Clarkson had released this hook-laden album instead of her recent one, she might not have to be apologising to Clive Davis on bended knee...

I purchased this CD just from the few reviews that I had read about Britt. It is fantastic. It is very upbeat with some great guitar work and some poppy beats without being overbearing... great CD and I would highly recommend it! I can't wait for her next album!

5.0 out of 5 stars You go girl! 26 Aug 2007

I am so glad I puchased this CD. Britt has really captured my heart with her tight beats and comforting lyrics. She sings about the everyday troubles we go through and I find her music truly inspiring. God has used her in a wonderful way to reach out to His children and I would recommend this album to anyone! Also, I should definitely mention that she has a very contemporary sound so beware: it gets the party jumpin'!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent first cd 8 Jun 2007

Format:Audio CD
The samples I heard at a Christian bookstore sounded promising, so I bought it. Promise fulfilled! I especially like 1, 2, and I think track 6 is my favorite right now. I hope Britt Nicole can pull of the same on her next CD; good messages, good tunes and good mixing. Not the typical sappy stuff one often hears on KLOV.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful role model for young girls 11 July 2008
By Pamela Chaddon - Published on
Format:Audio CD
What a wonderful role model for young girls. My girls 8 and 6 love this CD - and their cousin age 12 can really relate on a deeper level as she starts those 'changing' years. Britt speaks the truth in a very real way to young girls who are bombarded with secular pop garbage from every direction. Great CD in every way. Why would we want our young girls listening to over-sexualized and superfiscal pop - when there is music that they can relate to on every level. Thank you, Lord!
