This handy Dover book is a good guide to spoken Arabic--but remember! It's based on Egyptian Arabic, so the way you pronounce things elsewhere in the Arabic-speaking world will be quite different. They should really tell you more about that before you buy the book. I'd prefer the book more if it used Modern Standard Arabic. You could always include an appendix on regional variations. For instance, "jeyd" (excellent) is pronounced "geyd" in Egypt. But... with that caveat, I'd recommend this book for its vocabulary, useful traveling size, and just because it's a Dover book, most of which are excellent! Enjoy!
