Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

Reflecting Telecope

A reflecting telescope (also called a reflector) uses a single or combination of curved mirrors that reflect light and form an image. Once the image forms, the lens in the eyepiece magnifies the image. It is a design that allows for very large diameter objectives. Reflecting telescopes are very helpful for viewing dim or dark objects.

Alt-azimuth mount

Alt-azimuth mount is a simple two-axis mount for supporting and rotating telescope about two mutually perpendicular axes. One vertical and the other horizontal.

Rotation about the vertical axis varies the azimuth (compass bearing) of the pointing direction of the telescope. Rotation about the horizontal axis varies the altitude (angle of elevation) of the pointing direction.

The accessory tray allows you to keep eyepieces, lens extensions or even a hot drink in one place. Thanks to the tray you will have quick access to everything that you need during a night sky observation.

    Fantastic Product 24 Nov 2011
    By John B.
What a fantastic telescope - great magnification and you get so many extras with it, eye pieces, multipliers, moon filter (you can see craters more clearly - and you really can see craters with this telescope. I have been able to observe Jupiter, you can even spot galaxies. The best gift I have ever received as I must admit that I love observing stars and all other related things!

    Great 19 Jan 2012
This telescope is brilliant, I bought it for my husband (an OAP) it took him a little while to get it assembled and to set it up for viewing the moon/stars etc. (we put it down to age). He had a telescope many years ago and this has renewed his interest again and is out looking at the sky on every clear night we get. Thoroughly reccomend it.
