5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful, light-hearted and happy love story 18 April 2010
Format:Audio CD
The third book in the Bride Quartet is a beautiful, light-hearted and happy novel about love and friendship.

Laurel and Del have known each other since they were children. Laurel is like a sister for Del, but for her he is the one man she has secretly loved for years.
A heated discussion and a suprising kiss changes everything. They move on to a romantic relationship. Laurel is happy that Del and she are finally more than good friends, but also fears that she will never be the one for him. Del on the other hand is suprised by his feelings for Laurel, nevertheless he is willing to do everything to give them a real chance for a happy end.

I enjoyed reading "Savor the Moment" a lot. Laurel and Del are a great pair and I loved reading about them and the rest of the characters. There is no real drama going on and that's something I appreciate a lot. The story concentrates solely on the characters and the love affair and that's just great.
No development in the book is rushed and Laurel and Del (and the others) have time to get used to the new direction of their relationship. Some may find this boring but I love to get the chance to form a bond with the characters and to understand their personalities.
It was also a joy to learn more about the other main characters in the series. They made me a laugh a lot and especially Mrs. G was heart-warming.

I'm already excited for the final book in the series and to read how Parker and Mal get their "Happy Ever After". Mal fits perfectly in the circle of friends and he seems to be the one man that can help Parker to relax and even forget about her BlackBerry.
I love that Nora Roberts is a stickler for details and that she makes her characters three-dimensional. And that's why in the end I want to thank her for writing yet another book to fall in love with.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bride Quartet #3 2 May 2010
Laurel McBane did not come from a rich family, but she eventually found her way to fulfill her dream of attending culinary school. Now Laurel is part of a business with her three best friends to plan and organize weddings for clients. Laurel creates sinful confectionary delights for the clients' weddings and parties. This also has the added benefit of coming into contact with Parker's hunky brother, Del.

Laurel has had a crush on Delaney "Del" Brown for most of her life. Even though she still believes that the Ivy League lawyer is out of her reach, Laurel's temper has her kissing Del in a moment of madness ... and everything changes for them both.

**** FOUR STARS! The Diva of Desserts is falling into Romance's trap. Laurel finds it to be as sweet as her wedding cakes. The author has succeeded in making her characters totally believable. Unlike the perfect heroines in most other novels, this cast of ladies cannot eat anything and never gain an ounce. This tight group of friends hit the gym daily. It is only one of the many details Nora Roberts uses to bridge the gap between the reader and the story's characters. I could not help but come to care for Laurel and her friends. I felt as if I were part of their private circle. Charming, witty, and filled with quirky humor, this story will tickle your funny bone while also melting your heart. ****

3.0 out of 5 stars enjoyable but dull 17 July 2010
I like Nora Roberts as she is a good story teller, however this was a bit like watching paint dry. A very predictable ending and I got fed up with the will I wont I thing going on between the two people. The setting was also unrealistic.

Has Roberts lost the will to write?

4.0 out of 5 stars Really worth 3.5 stars... 5 Jun 2010
As an avid fan of Nora Roberts I feel somewhat disappointed by the Bride Quartet. Whilst I agree with other reviewers that the characters are quite well-developed and realistic, I feel that many of her other triolgies and series have had more content. I feel that Dell and Laurels relationship could have been padded out and developed further. The two characters have been friends for years and their change in relationship seemed sudden, and to be honest, developed without many hitches. Although I prefered it to the first book, I thought that the second novel, focusing on Jack and Emma had a more developed storyline. Parts of this novel seemed too rushed - for example, the long-awaited vacation - and could have been lengthened out. Still worth a read as Roberts is an excellent and descriptive storyteller, alhough if you are a newcomer to Roberts I would urge you to read some of her other works as they are truly brilliant.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, I loved it! 28 May 2010
By Suzie Q
I have just finished reading "Savour the Moment" and thoroughly enjoyed it, maybe even more than the first two books in the series, although they are all excellent and serve to build the picture of the four friends who run their Wedding business "Vows". I had tears in my eyes at the end, not just for Laurel, although the romance was great, but for the wonderful bond of friendship that Nora Roberts gifts to her characters. You wish that you were one of the friends because with a team like that you can face anything the world throws at you. I will not spoil the story for other readers but just wanted to recommend the book as I enjoyed it so much. If you are looking for a happy beach read this Summer, this one is for you. I cannot wait for Parker's story and I hope it will give us "a Wedding" to remember. Well done Nora and thank you for so many hours of pleasure.
