Losing Humanity 3 Mar 2003
By A Customer
Format:DVD
This is one of those films that is a sorely missed classic. Far superior to other war titles in recent years like Saving Private Ryan, this film puts its focus on one man who loses his humanity in an act of violence. From this, ironically, he turns to violence and goes on a journey of self-discovery that needs to be seen to be believed. It is powerful and full of strong performances. The war in Yugoslavia is as pointless as any war with the true villains existing within all of the three sides involved. Remarkable, a must-have for your collection.

Savior is an excellent piece of film making, and in itself a hard film to pin down in terms of genre, its certainly set during a war, but i would hesitate to call it a war film.
Dennis Quaid is excellent, as indeed are all the cast, the pace and story have a definite european flavour, and there are many many scenes which impose themselves on the memory, the massacre is intense and shocking, but there are many such scenes with more subtle content, the locations are perfect and add so much to the depth of the story.

Superb! 3 Jan 2001
By A Customer
Format:DVD
This is one of the most moving films I have ever seen! It shows the rebuilding of one mans humanity. From the shooting in the mosque, showing no regard for human life to his protection for Vera and the Baby. The music is also superb, it is one of the parts of the movie that make you feel the emotion. The acting is very good and the story line superb. It illustrates what the soldiers in the former Yugoslavia must have gone through. All in all an excellent film well worth the watch, the best war film since Platoon.
