"Save Us", the second single to be taken from the bands Platinum-selling singles album titled "The Singles", which is also selling well in Ireland, may see the band get slated for going back to a non heavy-rock track, but they do them so well and just as well as songs like "Save Us", which is a brilliant heartfelt ballad with top guitar solos.
The way the guitars and bass play together, along with loads of top drum fills, and brilliantly softly-sung lyrics right from Grant Nicholas's top songwriting skills make this contender for one of the singles of 2006, with previous single "Lost and Found" only just ahead.
However "Purify" on the single has to be one of the best songs of the century, with it's loud guitars, heavy drumming, top basslines and a guitar middle-8 solo that makes a chill go down your spine, along with Grant's loud angry singing make this one reason to buy this single along if you already have "Save Us" on the singles album.
The final track on the CD is an acoustic version of "Dove Grey Sands", the original you may remember from the "Pushing The Senses" album, only that this time it's an acoustic version and a top one at that. If you went to see Feeder live in 2005, you'll remember this version being part of some of their encores, and should bring back memories of those gigs!!!.
