On the advice of a nutritionist a few years ago I cut out wheat and dairy, but have still have occasional symptoms which can only be caused by something else. After experiencing symptoms this week I gave this test a go, which indicated whole eggs, and brazil nuts, as problems. I've supected these before, but couldn't ever isolate them; but this result gives me confidence to try cutting these out (or reducing/rotating when I eat them) to see if symptoms disappear. For this money it's probably worth a shot, especially if you've already got suspicions about certain foods. Be aware that if you've already cut certain foods out of your diet this test won't show a reaction - the FAQs on the website say you'd have to re-introduce it 5-7 days prior to the test for any reaction to show, and you have to be willing to tolerate the symptoms in the meantime!

A prick on the finger and half an hour later you know very accurately your tolerance to 46 types of food. This is something that professional nutritional therapists use and if you follow instructions carefully, there is no reason why you can't do the same test at home for three times less money and time. Very useful little kit! Oh, there is something I wish I'd known when buying this: it's a one hit wonder. You can only use one box per person. I thought I would be able to test my whole family with a single kit but nope. Still worth it though.

Beware! To take the test requires you to fill up a small cylinder of blood. Sounds easy enough. It comes with two items that prick your finger/thumb (only a slight pain). After following the instructions to a tee I pricked my thumb then eventually finger to create more blood. In the end i was pissing blood, but couldnt fill up the cylinder as the edges are quite thick and blood seemingly doesnt not want to trickle in there! The test its self may indeed work, however I was forced to run it on a third of the amount of blood, and low and behold the test for me didn't work. (I got a false negative).

I understand with typical negative reviews people may be skeptical and assume its a case of me being impatient and/or a moron. However, I never write negative reviews and I'm probably only a little bit of a moron. I attempted to fill up the tube, all the while bleeding profously and staining just about everything I was wearing, for at least 45 minutes. This was probably due to my own desperation to find out the results and see what I was intollerant to. Short of slitting my finger tip open with a kitchen knife (which i seriously considered, when was the last time a product lead me to that?) I was forced to run the test with what I had and so the test didn't work. The method of extracting your blood (which is crucial to taking the test!) is crude and poorly thought out. A syringe method or something would probably have been more effective.

What's more, I emailed the sellers explaining the issue and asking for either a refund or alternative, as in my mind you can't sell a product that doesnt work and is defective, and i never received a response. I also got in contact with amazon, who usually are really great with returns, but stated there was nothing that could be done due to hygeine reasons.... So apparently you can now sell stuff on here which doesnt work, and for a pretty dear price!

So please beware! I know people will turn to this item in desperation, i did! But give it a second thought!
