Well, it is hard to believe that this film is over 25 years old!! Linda Blair's character is a devoted sister & friend to all. When pushed, she pushes back!! But, when her sister is raped & her friend is killed, she goes vigilante on the gang responsible, with deadly results!!! Watch out!!! She'll get you if you cross her path!!!!

First of all, the dvd. I bought it, trying not to bite my entire nails, hoping that the information about the region of the dvd (my region is 2) will be acurate. It is. Second, i hoped that the print will be aceptable and the extras will be what it was promised. Well, the print was great, and the extras, believe it or not, are the same of those in region 1. With the bonus of being placed in just one disc (why two if you only need one? duh!!) And in third place, yes, you have the subtitles in swedish, danish, and two other "inish" (sorry for my poor culture...), but the menus are in english and the subtitles can be removed to "off". So, no anoyances will you have for seeing a flick in a subtitle that you don't understand, and, worstly, that you can't remove (with all do respect, of course, for those countries).
Lastly, the pic: it sucks, but is (still) sucks on a big way. No nonsense, of course, this is an exploitation, and you gonna have a lot of nude gals in the shower, monstruous tits and a plot wich doesn't make sense (check the comentary of Danny Steinman, the director - he'll prove what i'm saying). It also exibits a rape scene that is gratuitious (nobody, not Steinman, nor Blair, not even Linnea Quigley, will explain the motivation for the ocurrence of the scene) and very disturbant (they all agreed on that, even Robert Dryer, the principal baddie, who said he had "nightmares on that scene").
Of course, the acting is not that great. Linda Blair, for example, does a lot of faces, trying to express something on that (but boy, she was hot), and all the actors are memorable, mostly for the charisma they brought.Read more ›
Linda Blair (Brenda, brunette with attitude) and Linnea Quigley (Heather) her mute-deaf sister feature in this 80's revenge/exploitation flick.
Heather narrowly escapes being run down by a gang known as the scars(lead by Jake) on a night out with Brenda and the rest of the girls. In turn they steal the scars car and wreck it. The scras exact their revenge (in time honoured exploitation fashion) and rape Heather. She screams out silently through out the ordeal. To make matters worse (if there is such a thing). The soon to be wed Franncine is thrown form a bridge to her death.
The rest of the flick is taken up as Brenda with cross bow in hand takes her revenge on the scars one-by-one.(Bear traps don't work)
This would be your typical 80's revenge/exploitation flick like many before it, during and after it, but:
The relationships between the girls is 3 dimensional(or as believable as you're likley to see in this genre). They all give a sence of that they've known each other and grown up together through school. Like a tight nit group of sisters. Yes the scars are 1 dimensional but this makes you cheer Brenda on as she off's them. Vinney (may just pass 1 dimensional) confessing to Heather as she lays in her hospital bed.(But you could call him a heavy handed plot point at best.)
As you'd expect ther's nudity ( gratuitous or not you decide). As Brenda contemplates her next move whilst sitting in a bath with a smouldering cigarette in her hand. Brenda again (this time fully clothed) fighting in the schools shower. As two girls fight naked (in shot) who don't have anything to do anything to do with the scene whatsoever.
