Book Description

28 Oct 2011
Filled with righteous rage, Dacian and Onja defend their newly liberated home from tabre attack. No longer hobbled by dreams of rys and tabre unity, Dacian crafts enchanted weapons and trains the rys to fight. Onja’s love fills his emptiness, and together they reach toward even greater magical powers. As the rys and tabre clash, Onja’s faithful warrior Amar faces many challenges while raising an army for her. Can he dominate the Overlord of the Kez? Will Amar expose himself to the carnal charms of the Shamaness Loxane to gain a new ally? Can he give up his lust for Princess Demeda and ransom her to the Temulanka Tribe as his duty demands? While he sows war across the tribal kingdoms, Onja also enthralls the savages of the Nufalese frontier and unleashes their brutal hordes upon vulnerable settlements. Desperate to defend his people, Cruce Chenomet and his comrades trade wenching and drinking for grueling battles. His passionate dalliance from the year before unexpectedly becomes a vexing relationship. Bombarded by threats both to his body and heart, Cruce quickly loses hope but keeps his courage as he confronts the savage storm.

About the Author

I’ve always written stories. When I was a kid I wrote stories and drew pictures for them and stapled them together to make books. My mother recently showed me one of these little books apparently based on my older brother’s Dungeons & Dragons gaming. When I was 14 I wrote a sci fi novel. When I was 15 I wrote a fantasy novel. I set them aside and never looked at them again. Then I grew up and had some adventures and became disillusioned about most everything except my dream of being a novelist. In 1997 at the age of 25 I started writing again. Now it’s 2011 and I am working on my eighth novel. No publisher was ever interested in me. I stopped beating my head on that door in 2004. But rejection from people who could never care about my dream only emboldened me. I began self publishing my fantasy fiction in 2005. That was before being an indie author was cool. Despite relentless obscurity and general disrespect, I was always encouraged by a steady trickle of sales and the occasional kind comment from a reader. To be honest, being a novelist is always a struggle. I get criticized in public and don’t get called by any movie producers, but also every day someone somewhere buys my novels and that amazes me. I’m humbled by my readers. I will always do my best to craft stories worthy of them. I love the stories I write, and sometimes other people like them too. I’m having a good dream.

Again, the Rys are a force to be reckoned with. Love fantasy books and could not put them down. Have recommended them to my fantasy loving friends and am waiting to hear what they think. Debby

5.0 out of 5 stars Savage Storm: Rys Rising Book II 17 July 2012

If nothing else Tracy Falbe is consistent with the high quality of her books.Tracy Falbe is a fabulous writer; she has a way of making the characters real to the reader. The storylines are believable and the intrigue of what is coming next makes it difficult to put the book down until the end. The only disappointment exists until you get on to her next book. A writer not to be missed?

1.0 out of 5 stars I know sex sells, but this is a little much. Way too descriptive. 28 Dec 2011

I loved all of the other Rys books. I don't know what happened here. For some reason Tracy decided to cram as much descriptive sex into ever corner of this book. He woke her with his morning wood, and she finished him with her mouth just take away from the story. If I wanted a romance novel I would have purchased one. THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR YOUNG ADULTS.

This series has kept me up to the wee hours of the morning reading. It is so hard to put them down. I read Boarderlands first and this explained it all. Can't wait for the next one.
