HORRIBLE BOOK 15 April 2011
By Kindle Customer - Published on
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
I purchased this for my Kindle thinking Ms. Jones may have done something right. Was I ever wrong! This book is convulted and jumbled. The characters make very little sense. I don't mind the sex, what I do mind is wasting money on something that gave me absolutely no enjoyment.! Couldn't put it down........YES! Even though it is a short book, it took me a week to read it and I'm a fast reader. I couldn't delete it from my Kindle fast enough. If you MUST read this, don't pay for it. Check it out from your local library (if they actually have it).

Truly Bad 18 April 2011

This is one of the worst books I have ever read, and I am an avid reader. Star needs to leave the writing business and make a stab at something else. I couldn't wait to finish it. Those great reviews, must be done by Star herself. She needs to put the venom away and realize that it is time to move on. This book was a real mess.

Yikes 25 April 2011
By Tina - Published on
Format: Hardcover
I have been reading for a long time and I remember, in the 80's, where there was a trend towards writing books that were a little bit trashy, with a lot of sex, but were also incredibly entertaining.

This is what I was hoping for with Satan's Sisters.

Firstly, I have no problem with a novel with a lot of sex - if it is entertaining and remotely pertinent to the plotline.

Secondly, I did not expect Star Jones to be a high literary author.

Having said all of this, I found this book to be convoluted, silly and most importantly, boring, boring, boring.

As soon as I started reading the first few pages, my first thought was "I guess she is not going to go out on a limb here and write something a little daring". It was obvious, by her opening chapter about a "bunch of women who host a daytime show" that we were simply going to be reading about Jones' distorted(?)view of her own importance and I was not mistaken.

From the get go, I found the characters completely confusing and I just could not figure out why this plotline should be even more remotely interesting to me.

The writing was silly, the characters were silly and the entire book was silly - I even hated the title. This one is a big no for me.

Satan's Sisters 22 Jun. 2011
By The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers - Published on
Format: Hardcover
When I discovered attorney and former talk show host, Star Jones had written a fiction book entitled SATAN'S SISTERS, I was intrigued. I was further interested once I discovered the book was about a talk show, very similar in appearance to the one Ms. Jones had been part of. I immediately purchased it and became immersed in the lives of the women on camera and off.

The premise of the book is that one former host has written a book, entitled Satan's Sisters and it is reported to be a tell-all about the women who are still hosting the show. Of course, all the women want to know what is in the book, because all of them have secrets they do not wish to have exposed. The grand dame and lead hostess, Maxine in particular, does not want anything about her life exposed. She has created a persona of secrecy she will do anything to maintain. Not only that, but one of her secrets is so awful, it could completely change her life and the lives of others.

SATAN'S SISTERS is a fast-paced, entertaining book filled with drama and scandal. It seems that everyone who sat on the red couch had something to hide, from their sexuality to affairs with coworkers and they were all interested in knowing what had been written about them. I found the book to be the perfect summer book that will surely have tongues wagging and people wondering if any of the stories are true. I recommend this book to all readers who love drama-filled page turners.
