1.0 out of 5 stars Unmitigated self-indulgent rubbish. Not worth the paper its., 12 Oct 2000
By phumespry@aol.com (Nottingham, England.) - See all my reviews
Any book with Le Carre's name on it is usually a good read. Regretably this book is the exception. It is self-indulgent rubbish particularily in the use of persons well known in the Sarratt community as it actually exists; and not as readers know it ... How sad.

2.0 out of 5 stars "Complete your le Carre collection, if you must.", 30 Dec 2001
By tennor1@home.com (Mt. Holly, New Jersey, U.S.A.) - See all my reviews
Being an avid collector of all things le Carre, I had to have this book when it was first offered (in so doing, I unwittingly donated to Sarratt's funding of two town charities). The inclusion of two short stories, one by John le Carre and one by Mikhail Lyubimov (a former KGB colonel) make this thin volume an interesting entry in my collection, even if it isn't a book "by" le Carre (it's sub-titled "and other unlikely stories about Sarratt from international authors&)
