Product Description

Product Description

‘Sarah’s Child’ is all about love, decency and reality in a very contemporary context. When young Sarah Clarkson finds she is pregnant to her boyfriend, Stewart, she thinks her fairy tale life is just beginning. That fairy tale turns into a nightmare of domestic violence and crippling control and jealousy, driving Sarah over the edge. Sarah develops postpartum depression, joining millions of mothers around the world with this insidious and crippling condition. Even when recovered, her life is wrought with frustration and pain as the father of her child uses every dirty trick in the book to control her. Desperation drives Sarah to commit a crime that sends her even further down the path of despair and no matter what crimes her spouse may commit against her, it seems society is one sided and there is, for the once mentally ill, no justice.

About the Author

5.0 out of 5 stars Heartfelt in amazing fashion all will enjoy! 11 July 2014

Emotionally charged and heartfelt to the core!

‘Sarah’s Child’ by Authors Paul England and Perry Gamsby is simply spellbinding. From start to finish this book has managed to rock me to the core on many different levels. This review is not going to rehash the storyline and plot theme. You have to buy the book for that. Rather I will write a little about what I enjoyed most about the book. For starters it is written and edited to perfection. The story is real and provides the reader with depth as you walk alongside Sarah and the struggles she faces from an abusive relationship which so many couples, women and men a like face every day. The true essence of love, and freedom set the stage for this vividly descriptive story and provides the backbone for what a person will do to rid themselves of someone hurting them.

Unfortunately, in our society there is no justice for the mentally ill or for those who have to deal with abusive relationships. Sure there are avenues you can take to get help, but therein lies the problem. Those who need help the most (as in Sarah’s case) sometimes are afraid and not able to get the help they need when they need it. In short this is a heartfelt read that I thoroughly enjoyed and will highly recommend to all. 5 Stars!!!

Sarah’s Child by Paul England--- FIVE STARS
Review By Author Cliff Roberts

Get ready to be emotionally savaged. This is a story of heartbreak that will buffet you on every level imaginable. Young love that is at first enticing and luring only to find it was false and purposely misleading. An unwanted pregnancy and child it produces becomes the focal point of the stories emotional whirlwind. As a parent and a grandparent this story tore at me heart and had me on the edge of tears as I relived the heartache caused my own divorce and subsequent challenges of a parent unable to spend time with their own child and not being able to be as much a part of my child’s life as possible.
Sarah’s Child follows the life of a young woman emotionally destroyed by a manipulative young man and his family who take the naïve young woman through emotional hell as they try to control her and eventfully force her into a mental breakdown. They use that against her to take control of the child through the court system which pushes her over the edge to desperation.
This story left my emotions raw and I’m not even a fan of the romance genre. I recommend this book to everyone who seeks to read an excellent story about a subject that is near and dear to everyone-your children and their children. As well as young men and women who need to understand that their actions can have unintended consequences and their choices can and do affect everyone around them. And those affects can be devastating. We treat love as game but it is serious business and you need to guard your heart against the unscrupulous.
This a fictional account of a true story and is an excellent read. The book is well written and is sure to tear at your heart strings. This is must read. I highly recommend it. Five Stars!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Heartbreaking and real 9 July 2014
By Chloe H
Format:Kindle Edition
Sarah's Child is a heartbreaking and terrifyingly real story of a woman whose situation afflicts so many women, but is rarely discussed with much candor. Postpartum depression is one of the more controversial afflictions, and it's often met with much sexism and not much sympathy. This woman's affliction is exacerbated by her situation, one of domestic violence and mental abuse.

I applaud the author, because what's great about this story is that it is very real. The first person perspective brings us right into the character's thoughts and actions - that of a real woman.
