Reading this was like hearing a story told to you by your best friend, over a cup of coffee in your kitchen. The author makes you feel like you know the characters yourself and I was hooked from start to finish on this tale of love, hope and inspiration.
I took this on holiday and would recommend it to anyone who loves reading about love and the difficult journey some people take to find it.

As with all books by the fantastic Geraldine O Neill "Sarah Love" was a delight, A real feel good novel It was highly descriptive and just captured you from page one. Highly reccommend this book .

The story gets going with a very interesting twist and the development of the main character goes well to a certain point. But once again some of the agonies of the characters are just not that credible (compared for example with Cathy Kelly's City Girl series) as they characters appear slightly flat. To my taste there is also too much reliance on 'fate' and chance just moving characters along rather than development from within. I found it tedious when the characters blush and go all shy for the millionth time when someone pays a compliment. There is a danger of stereotype characterisation in the book. And some of the solutions for every tiny plot strand at the end were just too far fetched and insult the reader's intelligence. I liked the premise of the story as a whole though and enjoed some of the developments in the friendships between the women. Altogether, the characters weren't very memorable.
Conclusion: An ok read but don't expect to be wowed.
