Sarah Irving spent twelve years as a staff and freelance writer for the likes of Electronic Intifada, The Guardian, New Internationalist, Women's e-news and Ethical Consumer. She covered issues such as fair trade, human rights, corporate abuses of human rights, animal welfare and the environment, and women's issues. She first visited the Middle East in 1996 and has returned regularly since.
