This card is one hell of a beast, the length is pretty big too so make sure your case an hold it measures up to i think 30cm long im running this in my corsair obsidian 350D mATX case so i know mATX cases can hold this card running this with metro last light everything bumped up to very high but anti aliasing turned off was getting 80-90 fps on gameplay an over 100 fps in cut scenes this card can get abit hot the max temp it topped off at was at 75 degrees Celsius when i was playing crysis 1 everything on ultra and on 1080p was still getting 70-80 fps on game play. the card runns quiet until it stars hitting high number for temp but even then is doest get too loud. i haven't tried overclocking but might do later on. all in all this card is fantastic but at the moment the pricing for this seems ridiculous grabbed this then it was at £290 was soo much of a better deal. would highly recommed this card to anyone who is building a rig for serious gaming. Fantastic performance and amazing asthetics what more could you want from a graphics card

This card has incredibly solid construction and feel of quality which was immediately evident upon opening the box, the constructions were very clear and easy to understand.
The performance of this card is unparalleled for the price, which are talking a minimum of 70 frames on Battlefield 4 with all ultra settings (I don't own the game yet, but those were the frames on the tweak town tests, and I've played it at a friends with the same card).
Unfortunately (and this is the reason I gave the card 4 stars) is that the latest catalyst drivers from AMD don't function at their peak on 32-bit Windows especially XP (which is a shame because really didn't want to upgrade until Windows 9) the good thing is mantle will fix this soon as it will allow developers direct access to the GPU architecture by removing direct X overheads.
This card is very quiet, in fact it's so quiet that it's virtually silent, I have a Corsair H60 and I replaced the stock fan on that with a B quiet silent wings II fan with the fluid dynamic bearing (which is a super quiet fan), and yet this card is so quieted idle it has literally added no perceptible decibels to the sound of my system at idle, it only becomes loud under extreme spool up under excessive load and unload must be excessive to stress this card so you're unlikely to ever hear that much noise.
The aesthetic of this card is fantastic it looks sleek and comes with a cool LED lit logo of the company on the side which actually helps to provide extra case lighting.
I would definitely recommend this product were it not for the slightly poor driver support for 32-bit Windows I would have given it five stars.

At the time of this review, Nvidia have recently dropped the price of their GTX 770s to compete with the recently released R9 280X from AMD. Even taking this into account it is STILL the best price/performance card out there in my opinion. A few things to note -
1. It is the fastest factory overclocked R9 280x on the market. Benchmarks show that it is even faster than the Asus Matrix R9 280X 1100Mhz which is alot more expensive.
2. This card is faster than a GXT 770 which sits at around the same price, but is only slightly behind the GTX 780 on benchmarks (and the 780 is still selling at £400+)
3. This card is LONG! Measures in at 308mm which means if you have a mid size case with HDD trays all the way up the front side of your case then most likely it wont fit. The case i have is a Carbide 300R which has a "missing" section of HDD trays which allow for longer cards and in this case it is needed.
4. Power draw is higher than a normal R9 280x due to the higher overclock. It requires 2 8pin connectors. I dont have exact figures as every system is different, but if you have anything less than a 750W PSU i would double check online to see if your system can handle the power draw.
5. Still room for overclocking. Personally i dont overclock, but i know you can push this beast past 1200Mhz!
Summary When you get to cards at this range, they are ALL going to be able to run most games at max settings 1080p 60+fps, so it really comes down to a matter of personal preference and price. I personally went for this card because for the price it came in at and the power it delivered, there was absolutely no competition. Some people prefer Nvidia cards over AMD and vise versa.Read more ›

I paid over the odds for this card when it first came out but to me its worth every penny. It plays everything I've thrown at it at maximum/ultra settings. There are a few demanding games I bumped the settings down a bit to improve the FPS as it can really irritate me. However the first and main game I played (BF4) on multiplayer with ultra settings it was as smooth as butter and I was very impressed. The only downside I would say is that the fans are loud and it can heat my room up pretty good but for the performance and pleasure of the graphics it gives me I cannot knock a star off.
