I replaced my Dell supplied graphics card as it could "only" drive 2 monitors; this one is smaller - so I can use the socket that was previously blocked by the old card, drives 3 monitors, worked straight from the box with Windows 8 and is eerily silent - the old card had a (it turned out) quite noisy fan.
this card well wow where to start this card is just great. It can hold its own in many games as well(only planetside 2 doesnt work) playing the best such as crysis 3 which took me by surprise and blacklight retribution maxing the game(turned on dx9 mode) on 1680x1050 with average 40fps. it can handle three monitors but if you want to game then go back to one screen as the frame rate will drop by around 5(eg 1screen=40 2 screen=35 3 screen=wont work). It will also fit in any and all cases as long as it have a pci bracket. Its decent in rendering as well with an i3 2120 but working like a gem when overclocked from 625mhz to 725mhz and only goes to around 60oc highest ive seen is 67oc which is fine(get worried after 80oc but thats never happened). as for installing you are all good you just need a pci e s lot and done takes about 20seconds and drivers are fine. you dont need to get the newest drivers as this card doesnt get any benefit from the driver updates(the updates now mainly affect the higher range cards).
