Most helpful critical review
It's an OK pan for a poached egg. But I have a quicker and easier solution that I now use.

I'm no chef. I'm not even a trainee cook really. But I seem to have a reputation for decent eggs of all descriptions.
The most troublesome for me were poached eggs (probably because I don't particularly like them myself - but my partner does).
So, especially for her (I'm a saint really, aren't I??!!), I bought this.
It's an OK pan, and it does poached eggs OK too - but not quick enough for me, because I've now found a way to do good poached eggs in the microwave (OMG) much quicker (and without pricking the egg, incidentally).
That doesn't make this pan totally redundant though. Because it has a glass lid, it can prepare a decent fried egg.
As I said, I'm no chef, but if you want to know how to poach an egg very quickly in the 'pinger' (we chefs?? can get excommunicated if we call it a microwave), then send me a question and I'll give you a lengthy answer - but cooking the egg is not lengthy.
Anyway, I hope that this review is helpful in some way when making the decision.
