This book, shows how Hetty (Sapphire) can be sad, angry, happy and excited. I thought that parts of the book was really sad, which I didn't really expect. If you wanted to buy this, but haven't read Hetty Feather, I don't really think it matters, as it describes bits of her past etc. I thought that the book was just the right lenght. Compared to some of the other reviews, I don't mind waiting for the third book, as I think it will be worth the wait. I loved Hetty Feather and I love this. Even if you aren't an avid Jacqueline Wilson fan, like I am you should still love and enjoy this book. Overall this was a great read, and I would recommend it to about 9-13 year olds. Can't wait for the next one!! :)

I really liked the first Hetty Feather book so I just HAD to buy this, and let's just say I defo didn't waste my money! This book is amazing! The storyline is very well written and the cover is beautiful! The only thing is when you take of the amazingly decorated dust cover there is a rather dull cover underneath, no pictures or anything , but that is seriously the only flaw. The story had me hooked, I finished it in a day, despite the fact that it's a fairly big book. If you like Jacqueline Wilson etc, I reccomend you buy this phenominal book!

Format:Audio CD|Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
Initially, my two son's were scepitcal as 1) "it's for girsl!" and 2) "it's really long" However, I don't accept that things are always exclusively for either boys or girls and this was certainly no exception. In fact, within five minutes of putting it on in the car, during a long journey, both boys were transfixed of this tale of a Victorian Urchin. We know that the author is good- Tracey Beaker was excellent and this is no exception. I hope there are more to come!
