4.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and powerfull 28 Nov 2012

I bought two of these to crossfire up as a cheap way of upgrading my radeon 5700 series.

This card is very good for the money with regards to the power it can dish out, it certainly made a big difference to my frame rate on Planetside 2 and ARMA 2 on max settings, even on one card.

However the auto temp control is poor, the card overheats very quick if you dont manualy set the fan to 80% plus prior to gameing then it should be ok.
After 2 days one card started to shut my pc down with blue screen death from between 1 to 4 hours of gameing use on either mentioned said games
After 3 days one cards fan blade broke off and when at 80% speed the noise from vibration becomes unworkable when on a mic'd headset, but never blue screen death.

Both cards were indipendantly used and tested the same on their own.
The fact that there were two seperate faults from these cards combined with the nature of them for me it was time for a refund, the blue screen issue on one of the cards just made me twitchy about unknown compatability issues with my system, even though the one with the bust fan blade still worked fine, but noisy.

The bottom line is that this card is very good for the price, link two of these bad boys together and you will have power to compete with one top end card, its worth the risk, if it breaks just send back both of them in exchange for a single GTX 660ti 3gb to link up with a second in a year or two.

I gave it 4 instead of 2 stars because i may have just been unlucky with these cards, the power for the price is awsome, but the fan caseing did feel cheep and fragile compaired to other cards. The temperature control was not fatal just a pain in the butt. The DVI ports are not the same type either, another pain in the butt if you wanted 3 monitors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best bang for the buck. 13 Nov 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
This was my weapon of choice for my gaming system. In all honesty, plugged into a MSI 990FXA-GD65 with a six core FX 6100 and 16GB of Corsair Vengeance, it plays whatever game or application you want to throw at it with room to spare. In games, such as Battlefield 3 or Crysis it stays well below 60 degrees, and goes to around 62 in furmark, which means there's a lot of headroom in case you want to overclock it further when you feel the need. Also, it scales at about 90 % performance increase in a crossfire config, so it really is all you need for a great gaming and multimedia experience. Great card, I can only recommend you go for it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great card, one fault 6 Nov 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a great card for it's price, it can run every game. And produces so little noise. The only fault I have found is if it is connected through the DVI ports you will encounter fuzzy lines during gameplay and gameplay only, however if it's connected through the HDMI it's works like a charm.
Great card.
Would recommend as long as you have a HD screen.
