Great little camera, easy to use, simple navigation. On both video and photos it produces high quality results from something you would expect to pay a lot more for. For the money it's great value!

I bought this camera a while ago as a 'best of both worlds' given that it offers 10mp stills as well as HD video and have to say it's a great bit of kit for the money (I've even just bought one for my daughter). It's easy to use and easy to get to grips with in terms of the various modes and functions and it does what it's supposed to giving crystal clear stills and high quality video footage.The HD would be better if it were 60fps at 720 instead of 30fps particularly when shooting fast moving images as it can be a bit 'stuttery' but the 60fps at 480 mode works better for action and still gives a good quality picture.
As with anything you get what you pay for and a larger internal memory would have been nice so you will need to buy a memory card if you want to shoot any footage longer than 30 seconds, but for the money this is a lot of fun and to correct an earlier review this DOES work with Windows Movie Maker for editing although I use Corel VideoStudio Pro X3 as it's designed to work with HD recordings.

The camera itself is very stylish, sleek and professional looking. The pictures and video footage are smooth and reasonable. The problem comes when you try to 'use' that footage. If you just want to view or upload to the web then this is the camcorder for you. However, if like most people you want to tweak, edit or even just burn your home movie to a DVD, then you will be disappointed. The camcorder comes with no software in which to edit ot burn discs. It records files in Quicktime MPG-4 format which cannot be used with Windows Media Player or Windows Movie Maker. If you think you can use Quicktime, then yes you can - but to view only. In order to burn you will have to buy extra software. So to summarise, if you're prepared to spend extra on software to actually be able to burn movies to disc, then this is the camcorder to use. If not, then this is one best avoided.
