Our three year old son wants to be a farmer at the moment and is very into his tractors etc. We started buying the wooden fruits and vegetables which he would load into his tractor trailer and make some pocket money selling it to friends & family. His collection got so big we decided it was time to branch out into full market trading.
We bought this market stand which is a lovely way of displaying his fruit & veg, and keeps it all tidy and together. He loves filling his crates up and counting things out for people buying from his stall, and counting the money he gets, so its very educational.
Yes, it doesn't come with any fruit/veg but that is clearly stated, and yes you do have to assemble it but if you take a few moments to scan the instructions its very simple. It is lovely quality and is very stable and durable if you tighten the fixings up properly.
You could say it is a little expensive for what is essentially a shelving unit, but I bought it on Amazon much cheaper than it was for sale in my local wooden toy shop. Also, if you know like me that the crates of good quality fruits and vegetables cost between £10 and £15 each, I suppose the manufacturers think parents will bear this cost.
All in all I am very happy with the product and would recommend it.
