About the Author

Niamh Sharkey has twice been shortlisted for and once won the Bisto Book of the Year Award and she has also won the prestigious Mother Goose Award for Illustration. Her "Tales from Old Ireland" was an IBBY Honour Book in 2002. She lives in a small fishing village north of Dublin, with her family.

This book is about a dinosaur family at Christmas. The littlest dinosaur, Milo, rather than wishing for a new toy, would love to meet the dinosaur Father Christmas -Santasaurus - and fly on his sleigh. And on Christmas eve his wish comes true. This book is beautifully illustrated in appealing modern style and what's really special about this book are the amusing little 'dino-touches' throughout. For example there are dinosaur reindeer and a dinosaur robot as well as the santasaurus. It's a gentle festive story that you and your 3 year old will love.
