5.0 out of 5 stars A truly Supernatural DVD 19 Mar 2006
By A Customer
This is a truly AWESOME live concert well worth the buy. The sound is unbelievable, the atmosphere is electric, the only down side is that you will be wishing you were actually there.
The extras on the dvd are a great little bonus to what would still have been a great dvd without them. If you have the Supernatural cd then you have to buy this dvd just to see the tracks performed by the artists for real. If you don't have the cd then buy the dvd anyway - you know you want to.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than other reviews suggested 7 Oct 2010

I and my family are Santana fans and we have owned the 'Supernatural' CD since it was issued some years ago. It is one of our favourite CDs and this DVD adds another dimension to our enjoyment. I always feel that seeing a recording of a live concert is quite a different experience from simply listening to the tracks on the HiFi great though that may be. This DVD had some very poor reviews but at the very reasonable price Amazon were selling it for, I decided to chance it anyway. It is really good to see the performers looking as if they are thoroughly enjoying the music and it creates a really good atomosphere. It doesn't replace the CD but we have all enjoyed watching it, and I am pleased with the purchase.

2.0 out of 5 stars I guess you had to be there 6 Aug 2007

To say I am disappointed with this concert would be an understatement. It is` curiously uninvolving and the guest performances, except for Sarah Mclachan and Wayne Shorter and great songs are dreadfully rendered by artists who aren't fit to share a stage with Santana and even Carlos's solos cannot save them. The main problem lies`I think with the material which although sounding good on cd does is very commercial and does not translate to the live stage.
The production values are extremely high and sound sound quality is generally good, except that Carlos Santana's guitar is not as forward in the mix as it needs to be to lift many of the lacklustre performances.
