It's Christmas Time!!, 16 July 2003

This review is from: Santa Claus Lane (Audio CD)
If your a fan of Hilary Duff then you should get this cd as its is great. She has a great voice for such a young age and really shows it on this cd.You can tell she'll be a big star when she's older. This is a cd full of all the classic christmas songs and really gets you in the mood for christmas. Her voice is strongest on the songs jingle Bell Rock and Tell Me A Story (About The Night Before). The old favourites Santa Claus Is Coming To Town and Last Christmas are good to. There's even a song sung by Hilary's sister Haylie Duff, Same Old Christmas. This is a fantastic cd to buy for the christmas holidays and for any Hilary Duff fan.

Good stuff!, 9 Oct 2003
Hilary Duff, the role model singer/actress from Disney Channel's best-ever rated programme, Lizzie McGuire, is about to re-release her first album.
A Christmas album, eh? Religious? Not particulary. Pleasing? Yes. Family friendly? Of course, it's Disney. Fun? YES, YES, YES!!!
Co-stars: CHRISTINA MILIAN is an excellent American singer. You may remember her from when she released her self-titled album and singles 'AM To PM', 'When You Look At Me' and 'It's All Gravy' (a duet with Romeo of British 'So Solid Crew').
LIL' ROMEO is an American rapper. He is young and the object of many young girls' affections.
HAYLIE DUFF is the incredibly talented older sister of Hilary. She can sing very well ('Girl In The Band' is on The Lizzie McGuire Movie Soundtrack) and she acts too. You can see her in three episodes of Lizzie McGuire, including 'Cousin Amy' in 'Party Over Here' and a girl in the audience in 'Gordo's Video'. She also wrote two of the tracks on Hilary's album 'Metamorphosis'.
Hilary's voice doesn't sound as good as it does on Metamorphosis, some would argue that she sounds terrible, but I think the then-14-year-old does a good job. This CD is a fun way to put you in the Christmas spirit.
Oh, and I know it is not yet available, but I have pre-ordered my copy and I've heard all the tracks before.
Take it from a 13-year-old (OK, I am in a few weeks!), this CD is fun and friendly and really gets you in the Christmas spirit.
Also check out Jump5's 'All The Joy In The World'. It's shorter but the voices are brilliant.
Santa Claus Lane (the track) was also featured in the closing credits of 2002's 'The Sants Clause 2' (a Disney family comedy). So if you wonder where you heard the catchy lyrics before, it was there. Thank you for reading my review. These are my opinions and I want to share them with you (and I also would like the £50 gift certificate for reviewing it-let's hope!).
