Being a bit of a tightwad I was browsing for free kindle books and came across this. Now, I do have some experience in sandwich production, starting when I was around 9 years old with the ubiquitous crisp sandwich, I quickly expanded my repertoire to include jam, marmite, cheese, and now, many years later I've progressed to the heady heights of sandwich nirvana, including cream cheese and rocket, and bacon and avocado.
So, I wasn't expecting to learn much from this book. However, what I did learn was that 100 years ago it was not uncommon to eat a caviar sandwich, which is pretty classy, you can't even buy that in Marks & Spencer.
Nothing else of interest really, just an old curiosity. But it was free, which was nice.
