Bought this book together with the other 'knitting pets' book for my sister's birthday.
We are both beginners and haven't yet mastered the art of knitting in the round...
She was really pleased with this book because all the little pets are knitted in the flat, and then stitched together, so it's a good starting point.
She did the little white dog featured in the cover and found the pattern slightly confusing but doable.
The patterns are varied and you get a white dog, some cute reindeers, meerkats, elfs and a few nice dolls and a selection of classic teddy bears at the back.
Most items measure about 30 to 40 cm, so quite large (the little dog is one of the smallest at 20 cm).
Overall, very good purchase, and more practical/ easier than the other book for a first timer.

This is a truly delightful book..every character is lovely - and there are some gorgeous little surprises, like the little reindeer.
This will appeal to knitters of all ages, as it contains some more traditional toys as well as modern favourites like the meerkats.
Great value too...lots of patterns for the money.

This is a great book if you are looking to use up your stash of wool, great toy ideas, beautiful patterns. Love the cover pattern and the reindeer are such a great idea.
