I was looking for a memory card that would provide greater capacity than an 8GB card as I am now using RAW files in the camera - which of course take up twice the amount of storage per photograph than a high quality JPEG.

Information on the web suggested that cards of a greater capacity than 8GB MIGHT work but nothing told me definitively that any WOULD work. As I'm looking for a card that I can take into my next camera (D600 or D800 - I wish !!) 16GB was the minimum size I wanted to go for, but not wishing to waste money on a card that wouldn't work in my D80 I went for this 16GB card.

I'm delighted to say that the card works flawlessly in my D80, and when set to recording RAW only pictures, the LCD display shows a capacity of 1.2K photographs. Now even I can't run out of space on a holiday !!!!! When set to high quality JPEGs, the capacity is around 7.8K photographs - if anyone actually needs that many in one trip.

The speed of this card isn't noticeably quicker in camera (I manage 5 shots before the buffer is full at about 3 frames per second) before slowing to about 1 frame per second when it has to write to the card on the fly. But it is noticeably quicker when transferring images to my laptop - I've not made any actual measurements but it 'feels' quicker.

I'll be getting another one - not because I need the capacity, but just to ensure I don't put all my photographic eggs in one basket on a trip. That said, the card comes with a years subscription to the Sandisk recovery software as well - which thankfully I've not needed, but it's good to know its there in case of disasters.

Works great with the Nikon D7100. I bought 2 to use in tandem. No problem. They are also able to be recognised with the SD card reader I bought down the local pound store, so that is a bonus as I saw a post somewhere saying you needed a proper SDHC reader.

The performance is fantastic. I use it on my fuji x100 and the saving time have been reduced. I was about to buy the 90mb/s extreme pro but i think i made the right choice saving a lot of money and getting (i think) very similar results.

I was really please with the purchase of the sd card I took about 1000 pictures and was working fine, but then i decided to do a video and it all went wrong the first minutes it recorded well but then an error occurred and my camera stop recognise de sd card, i put the card on my laptop and it doesn't recognise it anymore, i'm going through hell trying to recover the 1000 photos i have in it, and my hopes are getting less and less ... :(

Absolutely rubbish! Very dissapointed! Very very slow, pictures took for ever to save on it (rougly 20sec) ... I tried formatting it a couple of times but did no good! Waste of money.

I'm on my third one of these and can't see any reason to
buy anything else; as others have stated they are fast and
reliable SDHC cards that just get on and do their job.

I don't erase any data when the card's full; I keep it as a
backup just in case.

Incidentally, this card comes with a year's free subscription to
RescuePRO deluxe recovery software; I had a problem getting
the software to download, but a quick email to Ic_Tech had me
up and running in no time; great support if you need it.

Recommended.

This is a popular HD card, plenty fast enough for my HD camcorder, arrived on time and well packed, A lot less price than in my local photo shops, Good value.

Bought this for my brand spanking new Sony NEX 5RL as didnt want a slow card to prohibit firing off a load of images at once. To be honest it is a decent memory card in terms of storage and nice to know it is sturdy, but you know what - i still find myself pausing for a few too many seconds between snaps and when you have to wait 2 seconds to capture the delight on your 1 year old's face on her birthday - you often end up missing the classic shot! so for that reason - underwhelmed
