I bought this because i needed a small mp3 player to take around with me and i have to say this is one of the best things i've ever bought!
Its small and lightweight but the screen is excellent, the menus are easy to navigate, the sound through any headphones other than the included ones are absolutely superb! I listen through Sennheiser CX300's and really cannot fault the sound at all. The previous reviewer must have meant theres no wall charger so it has to be charged via USB from a computer but any mini usb wall charger does the job, i charge mine up from my blackberry charger so no worries there. Overall highly recommended.

I am so disappointed. I thought this was great value for money and, to be fair, worked faultlessly for 3 months. Then... nothing! Literally, played it one day no problem. The next time I tried to use it, nothing! It wouldn't switch on and nothing happened when I tried to charge it. Fortunately, I received a full refund as I bought this from a large UK store. I will not be replacing this with another Sansa product!

I bought this to replace my old USB MP3 player, as it had no screen, was only 4GB and was bound by sellotape.

INCREDIBLY happy with this. I bought it because it was so cheap for the amount of memory, but I did expect it to be cheap or to have some annoying features when I clicked the purchase button.

I was completely wrong in my assumption, it feels very professional, not cheap at all as I was expecting, the drag and drop function is better than I expected too, as it sorts all your music for you once you've put it on.

Has a hold button, shuffle, repeat etc. options, and has amazing sound quality too, though that may also be due to my earphones.

All in all, best MP3 player I've ever bought, and would buy it a million times over if I needed another million. :)

Verified Purchase
I have owned my fair share of MP3 players over the years, including ones by most of the big names. Earlier this year I was off on holiday and wanted a new one as the one I had (a Sony) I found traumatic putting new music on due to the ridiculous transference software.

I researched carefully and came across this beauty which ticked all the boxes - fairly cheap (I wanted something it didn't matter if I wrecked on holiday), good storage (8gb), lightweight and most of all - the glorious drag and drop. I'm pleased to say I never wrecked it on holiday and it remains in daily use. I am more upset if I leave my clip at home than my mobile!

Never before have I been so pleased with a gadget. The clip has excellent sound quality and a phenomenal battery life - I use it 5 days out of 7 during my 45 min -1hr commute and I only have to charge it every 4-6 weeks!

Even my husband, who notoriously hates every gadget I buy concedes that this was an excellent buy.

In fact so pleased am I with this gadget, I have asked for a Sansa View for Christmas

I read loads of reviews about this little gizmo after having a go on an iPod and spending a long time listening to other folks on their phones on a coach journey. How many times can one person say the same stuff to so many people??! What I needed was a music player. Simple. Later I bought 2 of these, one for me, one for my wife. I just checked and my Sansa Clip has: Memory 7794MB, Free 2518MB. What? I don't know and don't care what this means but there are over 2000 songs (2225 really) now on this little machine. I guess I can get another 1000 on. Yoiks! Add to that the fact I can create a 'Go List' of current fave tunes (plus FM radio etc) and I am in 'My Own Little Music Heaven'. I've had this for a few weeks now and had to do the re-set thing once. Didn't lose any tunes and it cranked up OK after freezing. Brilliant. So small...! So pretty...! So buy one!!

I was given this as a birthday present and plugged it in to charge yesterday, less than 20 minutes later it was ready to load. I didn't have much time but loaded fourteen albums onto it simply by dragging and dropping in Windows Media Player, the speed of upload is incredible, it took less than 9 minutes! I then plugged in the headphones supplied with it and couldn't believe the sound quality, it's amazing, especially for something so small, and such good value.
I used to load music onto my phone which involved the time-consuming compressing of each track and the sound quality was dreadful, really tinny - it also drained my phone battery so badly I stopped using it.
I'm looking forward to walking to work on Monday with my new toy - AND I can listen to the radio too! I got the silver one; the LED lights up in turquoise, the screen is easy to read, and you can choose track, album or artist.. all in all it's very snazzy, and so cute.
Don't delay, buy one today!

I have had this MP3 player for a week now and originally found it hard to navigate around, but am now getting the hang of it. I like the simple transfer of files across - just drag and drop. But note if you are running XP then you need to get Windows Media Player 11 to get your PC to recognise the player. Despite going to Sansa's website and trying to upgrade the unit, the website did not tell you this as it detected the OS etc, I am surprised that this is one thing that needed to be updated. I had to go to the Tech Help to find this out and it was not easy to find this important fact. The sound is good, but better with a higher spec set of earphones. Generally I am pleased with my purchase. Mike Dorset UK
