Note that these are now the Sandisk 'Extreme Class 10 Series'. For those moving up to full rate AVCHD HD Camcorders which need the faster cards (Class 6 or better) to record 1080p/24p video at its highest quality (24Mbps) this makes a very good card. I use them both as back-up and live recording cards with a Canon HF-S11 64GB solid state HD camcorder and have had no issues so far. It is worth paying more for memory cards for this type of use because although there may be alternative (and cheaper) options, are you really going to chance your possibly priceless footage to a cheaper card?

I am using Sandisk 16Gb Class 10 with Canon 550D to shoot full HD movie as well as RAW images.
Things are going smoothly so far. Haven't encountered common issues like formatting, time delay, stop recording or difficulty in copying to macbook. Thought of buying a cheap card of less known brand. But after spending £600 on a new camera, I don't see much point in saving £20-30 for possible problems including losing precious images. Doing photography as a hobby over 20 years, I have spent much time to save money through many ebay purchases. I had bad luck as well as good bargains in the past. But trying out various cheap memory cards seems to be a false economy. And I learned that I always want larger capacity items later on. I believe this was a right purchase for me.

I purchased the card based on the reviews here. I use it with the gopro hd action camera which can use various hd modes ie 720/1080. As yet I have not experienced any trouble in the several months that I have been using the card. It copies via usb cable in camera to my macbook without incident and when removed from the camera and placed in the integral usb reader the same applies to the macbook and also ps3 hard drive. All told a good fast card that as yet has not caused any problem Highly recommended.....
