As a regular rail commuter I enjoy having my Nintendo DSi with me when on the go in order to pass the tediously long and silent journeys. However, the thing is that I also like to have my MP3 player, my phone and occasionally other pieces of portable technology such as a camera with me at the same time, all of which I have to pack into my bag. So there I am on the way to work, handbag the size of a small suitcase with everything I need to fit in it and me endlessly (and quite unsuccessfully!) fishing in it for various bits of technology!
That is when I came across this card, which I have to say is an absolute gem! With the massively increased capacity that it created for my Nintendo DSi by its simple insertion into the designated slot on the device, it now allowed me to use my DSi not only to play games, but also to function as both a MP3 player and camera. Certainly cuts down on the number of devices rattling around my bag and it's so much easier with everything on one device!
The 8GB capacity will store well over 1,000 songs (I think I have about 1,200 on there at the moment along with some images), which is as good as what you will get from any half-decent MP3 player, and according to the specs it will also hold up to 3,000 - 4,000 (!!) of the DSi camera's 3MP images, although I have only stored about 300 or so on there thus far. I think it would take me a good while reaching maximum capacity!
The actual performance of the card isn't half bad either. Quick to flick through and access my content, the Class 2 rating means that it is more than good enough for use with the DSi. Its got the Nintendo stamp on it for a start, which wouldn't have happened if it wasn't of a decent standard, and being made by Sandisk (who are probably one of the most tried and tested brands out there!)I knew that I wouldn't be let down on quality.
A great card that does exactly what it claims to. It's made my life easier anyway - what more could you want!
