A little on the slow side.,

I've been using this after a series of Sandisk Cruzer Micros (2, 4 & 16GB), and this 32gb Cruzer non-Micro is noticeably slower than these other drives. It seems as well built etc. as the others, however, but there are a few little hitches and pauses in general use which balance out the convenience of having 32GB in your pocket which aren't present on the Cruzer Micros. It's nothing disastrous, but annoying, and I'm unsure whether the flash memory on these other drives is just a lower spec.
Either way, it seems to do exactly as advertised. Just a little more slowly.

This is in my opinion a good reliable bit of kit and although many say the transfer rate is a little slow I think you'll find if your using a high speed port the transfer rate is as good as any other 32gb device of this nature.
My only gripe ( hence the four stars, and not five ) is concerning the very useful U3 programme installed on nearly all Sandisk memory sticks... until now that is. Admittedly there is a few useless programs that were included in the U3 setup which could quite easily be removed ( Uninsulated ). Having said this, the U3 password protection program is a great bonus, as over 95% of memory sticks have no security protection at all, thus allowing anyone with a computer easy access to you contents by simply plugging it in. Sandisk in their wisdom ( Not! ) no longer install the U3 programme, but have no fear... it can be download quickly and very simply by typing 'u3 software' in the Google search bar. Just hit the top link and bingo... you have the download tab staring right at you. Click on it and follow the basic instructions, and before you know it you will have a fully protected and secure memory stick. JUST ONE QUICK TIP: Do remember your password once it has been setup. Should you forget and enter the wrong password more than three times, your memory stick will be completely formatted ( Wiped Clean ) and you will loose everything stored...

Bought this before leaving on a seven month trip around Asia, specifically so I could back up photos. Two months in, the thing decided to crash and was unusable. Kept it until I came home, sent it off to a Sandisk recommended recovery company who tell me that there is nothing they can do. 4GB of photos I hadn't been able to back up gone forever.
Won't be using this with any confidence again.
