It's major flaw is that it doesn't do what it says in the tin. i.e. it won't push multichannel 5.1 or 7.1 over the optical output which is what I've bought it for in the first place....

To add insult to injury, before buying I did send an email to the sales dept asking if it would do it only to get a vague response that the box will do 7.1 (not explicitly that it would do it over S/PDIF) attached with a copy of the manual (no reference in there either).

Other than that it worked right out of the box, no drivers where needed (Win XP, SP3) and windows automatically switched the sound and mic functions to the box.

Same about not doing multichannel over optical. Sound quality from the analogue ports is nothing special, don't expect audiophile performance from a 40euro device....
