Product Description

Sanctuary is really a touching story of the human condition and what we are all capable of depending on the circumstances.

In 9th century Britain, chaos rules as kingdoms splinter, Vikings invade from all corners, and lives and fortunes are lost to those with the biggest sword and the smallest shreds of morality. When a young priest, Daniel, witnesses a lone warrior save his village from savage raiders, he believes he’s seen a miracle, and he follows the reclusive warrior on his mysterious trek across the island, hoping to find his own path in this brutal and unforgiving world.

Daniel’s journey takes him to places he’d long since left, forcing him to face his past, along with dour dwarves, canny druids, and an army of Viking warriors. When he meets a captive woman with strange abilities amongst the ruins of humanity's savage and unforgiving past, Daniel will face his true enemy, a powerful demon, who waits for his dominion over man to be complete.

The first book in the Dominion series.

Sanctuary, along with the rest of the Dominion series, pulls heavily from religion, legends, and the mythology of the time, shaping it to tell a new story of our own dark and tumultuous history. Christian fables, angels and demons, King Arthur and the stories of Camelot, norse gods, Viking and scandinavian legends, Celtic mythology, druidic rituals, elves, dwarves, the Otherworld - it all plays a part in this story of an unseen war between the gods. Get started now with part one of an epic historical fantasy adventure, and prepare yourself for a long and riveting tale!

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful book that I just could not put down. 16 Jan 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This is not the usual genre I would normally pick up, but I must say I loved every word I read. From the first page, I was hooked. Kris writes with amazing emotion and my relationship with the main character, Daniel, as his journey progressed just grew stronger and stronger. I never foresaw what was going to happen and there were more than a few moments where I was on tender-hooks and praying for the safety of the characters.

If you want a good read, then this book is a MUST!

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't put it down. 19 Jan 2013
By JudyK - Published on Amazon.com

I have only read the sample first four chapters, but I am hooked and have bought the book so I can see what happens next. It is violent in parts, but it allows the reader to see the attributes of the hero as he sends raiders on their way. The attention to details like the description of clothing and weapons makes the reader believe that they are in the midst of the story.

5.0 out of 5 stars A journey through ancient Britain 15 Jan 2013
By Alistair McIntyre - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The dynamic relationships between Daniel and the other characters in this story really impressed me. Kramer has obviously spent a lot of time and effort developing each character enough that their initial encounters don't necessarily indicate the entirety of the characters, or their relationships, and the individual balances of power shift constantly throughout the story.

Sanctuary draws you in from the very beginning with vivid descriptions and a main character that you want to learn more about. Daniel's spiritual journey, his search for answers, and the discoveries he makes are mesmerizing. I did not want to put the story down, and I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I look forward to reading more of Kris Kramer's writing.
