The e270's distinctive, high-strength and lightweight back cover is made with an advanced Titanium alloy from Liquidmetal Technologies that is stronger than steel and highly resistant to scratches and wear. On the front, you'll find easy-to-use, backlit controls that make it a snap to navigate through the device's intuitive menus. The player also sports a microSD expansion slot for additional memory capacity and support for SanDisk TrustedFlash and gruvi content cards, which can be shared with mobile phones. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to a 20-hour battery life.
You can use the included SanDisk Media Converter software to convert most popular video formats (MPEG-4, WMV, DivX) into the 15 fps (frames per second) MPEG format that plays on the Sansa device. JPEG and BMP still images also get converted and downsized, and can be displayed in a slideshow. Voice recordings are saved in WAV format.
