Isn't it a nightmare choosing the right guidebook? I usually take 2 to ensure I get varying perspectives and don't end up realising my only source of info is for Nans and trainspotters. I have to be honest and bought the book on the basis that it mentioned Urban Outfitters and gave such impressive synopsis' of each district. When I got to SF, the book was incredibly informative and gave me more of what I felt was a real person's view of the city as opposed to a tourists. I liked it so much I've just bought the Paris edition. Definitely for people who want to live the city rather than just visit the top 10 crowd pleasers. Loved it. Oh and the maps are excellent. I'm so glad I came accross this series.
