Format:Audio CD
I really enjoy Chris Isaak - he has a Harry Connick type of voice but with a lot more sizzle. However, I tend to like three to five songs from each of his cd's (I have three) and have yet to find one that is great from beginning to end. He has an extremely sultry voice and I like it most when he sings slower paced songs with a bit more crooning for lack of a better word. The best songs on this cd are "Can't Do A Thing (To Stop Me)" and "Waiting". Both of these songs are guaranteed to stop you dead in your tracks. Yes - especially the ladies.

I purchased this album after hearing one of the songs from it on the radio. The song was called Except The New Girl. I thought it was beautifully arranged and an absolute treat. The other track I heard on the radio was San Francisco Days, the name of the album. I thought that was a terrific song and possibly one of Chris Isaak's best sounding. This album is one of my favourite albums by Chris Isaak and I feel that all 12 tracks on here are of a very high standard.
This album came out in 1993 and today remains one of my favourites. Chris Isaak's voice has a reminiscence of Roy Orbison about it but with his own twist to it. I've always liked Chris Isaak's voice and his albums reflect on this and many of his material have stood out especially on this album. The arrangements and also the playing from his band are exceptional to say the least and Mr Isaak leads them and the listener on a ravishing and quite brilliant journey this album takes us on.
This album was one of my first Chris Isaak purchases and I picked up most of the others after this one. Chris Isaak is one of my favourite male singers and his voice has a rich and vibrant twill to it that's very distinctive and very recognisable. Comes highly recommended by this reviewer.

I discovered Chris Isaak a few months ago. I now have five cd's, Baja Sessions is the purest in many ways, whilst my favourite is Always Got Tonight. This one is equally interesting with some lovely work on it.
For me good production values are critical and always present on his work which is why his music is always rich and has a lot going on. You can listen over and over again and never tire of it. Fabulous.
