Product Description

Episodes 1-7 of the Japanese anime series. During the epic battle of Sekigahara, two samurai - the good natured Kyoshiro and the merciless Kyo - are fighting a duel when a shooting star slams into the planet, engulfing both swordsmen. Years later, bounty hunter Yuya meets Kyoshiro, now a travelling medicine man. Yuya quickly realises that there is something deeply unusual about Kyoshiro. Before long the two are thrown into battle together and the secrets of Kyoshiro's past are revealed.

2.0 out of 5 stars A Review of Kyo Samurai Deeper 16 Jun 2010
The Fact of the matter is if you are looking for great anime this is not the anime to watch. I bought the complete set hoping that it would be an interesting sword fighting, martial art, magical anime but sadly it failed to deliver on all accounts. The battles used lots of freeze frames and were pretty boring due to the fact there was only really one attack between the characters and lots of speech explaining what had just happened. The storyline was pretty confusing and there was no clear plot which didn't help. The animation wasn't great compared to the great anime series which are out there. I don't want to put you off but if I was you I would buy something like Naruto Shippuden Vol.1 [DVD], Bleach Complete Series 1 [DVD], Samurai 7 - Vols 1-7 - Complete [DVD] [2004] or The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya Complete - Anime Legends [DVD] [2006] which are all great examples of anime and ones which you will watch again and again.
