I've had mine for a couple of months now, and I'm working it hard. As a web developer, I'll often have three or more browsers (one of which is usually streaming Flash audio), a web server, a database, Photoshop, and a heavy-duty development environment running at the same time. It copes, though at about 70% RAM with the odd spike higher. For my purposes, the 4GB it comes with isn't really enough, and , but it seems like it would be perfectly happy with less strenuous use. The few times I've thrown a DVD in it, it's been fine. (I'm upgrading to 8GB RAM, as I expected I would need to. It's exceedingly annoying that I have to take out two perfectly good 2GB sticks and buy a full 8GB.)
I'm not that bothered about style - to me, clothes are to keep me warm and cover my dangly bits, and a laptop is a toolbox, not a handbag. But wow, this thing is gorgeous. When I first unwrapped it, I must have spent about ten minutes just admiring the way the light caught the lid. The photos don't do it justice. It turns heads when I use it in public, that's for sure. I may have to buy some decent clothes to match. ;)
The thing is a fingerprint magnet, though. Get used to polishing it. (Repeatedly saying "My precioussssss" while doing so is optional.) And it definitely needs to be in a nice protective sleeve if you're carrying it around, because that "robust finish" WILL scratch.
