I bought this machine after reading about it in Which magazine, who gave it a glowing report. However it has not really given impressive wash results for me and the programmes are so long I fail to understand how it has an A+++ energy rating.
The 15 minute quick wash is only for 2kilos of clothes or one towel, and on this cycle will only spin to a maximum of 800rpm. You then need to switch it off and spin it again as the clothes are too damp. I increased the time and the temperature, to see if it would allow me to spin the clothes any more, but no, the maximum is 800rpm on the quick wash. This is OK if it is a hot day and the laundry can be dried outside, otherwise it is too damp to be hung out indoors.
I thought that you could customise the washes to suit your needs, which you can do to an extent, though only within the parameters of each programme. The 1600rpm spin is only available on the cotton wash, which is an eye watering three hour programme!!
Whilst the large door is a bonus for putting a duvet in to wash, if you are trying to load lots of small items, they keep falling out! This then does not allow you to fully load it, and it seems like there is less capacity than my previous 7kg drum.
The wash results did not live up to expectation either, in fact I had to rewash some items and some I had to soak in bleach.(I use a brand leading detergent and conditioner).
On the upside the spin cycle is whisper quiet, the machine is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and it makes a lovely jingle. The customer service from Samsung was faultless and their warranty is for parts and labour, and not just for parts, which is why Samsung is always worth considering.
Unfortunately for a busy Mum I would not recommend this machine, but if you don't mind long wash programmes, and pretty jingles this is the machine for you
