I pondered long and hard over my next choice of TV. Already owning a Samsung for the past 4 years, which has been an excellent TV, there really was only one choice for me - and that was another Samsung. My decision was to either take the plunge and go for the hype of 3D, or stick with what I knew, and boy, am I glad I stuck with what I knew!!
Since 3D is in its infancy - just like HD was three or four years ago - I really didn't see the point of paying probably double the price of a normal LCD for something I was hardly going to use.
This TV has everything anyone would really need - loads of connectibility, probably the best USB player, in Samsung Movie 2.0, (which as far as I know plays ALL formats), a truly excellent picture, and decent enough (though not brilliant) sound.
PROS - Unbelievable price (£628.00 from Dixons online - sorry, Amazon!!)
Styling - Looks fantastic - 10/10
Connectibility - 4 x HDMI and 2 x USB - enough said - 10/10
Picture - brilliant - 10/10
Ease of set up and general use - 10/10
Remote - nice, functional, solid feeling remote - 10/10
Sound - adequate enough for day-to-day viewing, can connect external system with optical output (or HDMI) - 7/10
CONS - None
If you want a TV that is an excellent all-rounder - without useless gimmickry or new fads - then do not hesitate to but this one - but make sure you shop around first!!
