Quality piece of kit with some nice touches,

I've only had this TV for a day, but I'm very impressed with it.
Out of the box, its very easy to assemble, with no screws or plates or anything to put together; just slot the TV into the stand and tighten one nut. The design is very elegant, with the white frame having a kind of wood-effect pattern to it (sounds tacky, but it isn't!) framed by about 1/4 inch of glass. Also very impressed with the freebies in the box, including a cleaning cloth, a small cable tidy and several adaptors so that you can connect your existing kit. I hadn't realised, but there are no scart sockets on this unit, however one of the adaptors is a scart-to-HDMI lead. When you switch it on for the first time, it'll take you through and idiot-proof start-up guide and asks if the TV will be used in a showroom or a home and so adjusts the settings. Still, I found the sound a bit flat and faces looked a bit orange. You can adjust all of the settings manually, but helpfully it has a selection of picture and sound pre-sets if you're not confident about doing this yourself. I've picked the Movie setting for both and am very happy with that. Finally, the remote control is unusually large as it has quite a lot of buttons. On the plus side, this means that most features and settings have a dedicated button or in the 'Toolkit', rather than being buried in a menu somewhere. I've bought this TV for my bedroom and am very happy with it. Can't recommend it enough.

Lovely stylish TV,
This review is from: Samsung UE22C4010 22-inch Widescreen HD Ready Slim LED TV with Freeview- White (Electronics)
Had this TV for about one month....as my main TV. Delighted with the look, sound and picture quality of this white and perspex TV. Think it looks gorgeous, so fresh and modern. Its ultra easy to move around. Also pleased that it is LED, and I should therefore be using much less energy. Only one concern is that from time to time I have found difficulty with the transmission quality of the ITV channels....and end up with various degrees of a broken picture. First thought was that it is to do with the my aerial, but I have not had this trouble with previous TVs sitting in exactly the same position, using same aerial point. Otherwise very happy and no grumbles whatsoever.

I got one of these about a month ago to replace a 25 year old Sanyo TV which was starting to signs of age (!) and I'm really happy with it.
The white wood grain / perspex look looks spot on in our kitchen. It was very easy to get up and running - un-box, turn on, it finds channels (both analogue and digital), you watch TV. Doesn't get much easier than that. The only thing that foxed me for a moment was how to switch between analogue and digital. The picture is great; very clear (especially in digital), it's matte screen (so no reflections from the kitchen lights), the colours are rich and vibrant. The blacks look pretty black, but I guess in comparison to our Panasonic plasma you do loose a bit of detail in the blacks, but that's being picky. I tried fiddling with the picture settings but to be honest went back to the factory settings which were fine. Another reviewer has noted that on analogue the aspect ratio isn't correct and that's true - and I've tried every damned setting to correct it but it seems that's just the way it is. But hey, it's not a big deal (it's not *that* distorted) - and hopefully we'll one day get ITV1, C4 and 5 on Freeview. Until then I can live with it. Sound was fine but a bit thin. I've therefore plugged in a spare set of PC 2.1 speakers I had lying around (the TV as a 3.5mm headphone jack) and it now sounds great. So in all, great telly - one of those purchases where you don't regret a penny.
