It’s cool to be square, the Samsung Tictoc is a cute and fun little MP3 player perfect for anybody young at heart. At only 3.5cm it fits into the palm of your hand and only weighing 12g so you won’t even notice you are carrying it.
2GB TicToc comes in blue, pink or black and the 4GB Tictoc comes in blue or pink with a matching fashion case. All Tictocs come with matching fashion earphones so the Samsung Tictoc is the ultimate fashion accessory.
Clip
Whether you are running around the house, walking the dog or in the gym the built in clip is perfect for hands free use. The 2GB Tictoc has a clip directly on the unit and the 4GB Tictoc has its clip on the matching fashion case.
Motion Control
Amaze your friends with TicToc’s unique and cool motion sensor choose. To choose the function simply change the angle of the player and press the button, for example if you are holding Tictoc upright and press the button the volume increases, if you hold Tictoc upside down and press the button the volume decreases. Hold Tictoc horizontally and press the button to skip tracks.
Give it a firm shake to wake, one firm shake will activate the voice guide and three firm shakes will change the play mode between normal, shuffle, fast and slow. See the explanation video above for a demonstration.

Tempo analysis
Have the right music to keep you going whatever the activity. This clever piece of software automatically sorts your favourite music into fast and slow playlists. So whether you are in the gym or relaxing always have the right music to keep you going.

The Samsung TicToc supports MP3, WMA, OGG, and FLAC file formats, which allows you to enjoy various options for downloading files, simply connect Tictoc to your PC and drag and drop your favourite music files onto the player.

This has to be one of the smallest MP3 players around which is one of the good points. It's also pretty durable and looks quite funky, though seems to be aimed at kids. With that in mind it does the job; it's pretty simple to set up and use, the sound quality is good and the headphones are ok - though don't offer much bass.
Bad points? The one button control is a little fiddly at first. Different functions are accessed by pressing the button once, twice or thrice, or shaking the player, and also different functions can be accessed depending on whether the player is upside down, on its side, or the right way up.
One thing that isn't mentioned in the instructions is that you have to remove the player from its clear plastic case before you charge it.
Overall, if you're looking for well-priced stylish little MP3 player with basic functionality - this will do the job nicely. If you're looking for a manly, geek-pleasing gadget, this won't fit the bill.

The only real selling point of this player is the 'ease of use' and interface - the one-button and motion sensor combination. I don't know of any similar player available at the moment. However, there is probably a reason for that. The device is not as easy to operate as you might think, and having to remember which movement does what, and what tracks and albums you have loaded on it is annoying if you have more than a couple. For example, lets say you wanted to play a particular song to someone - you would have to remember the order of the albums, than the track order, then do all the clicks and twists in the right order to get to the track. It is even less easy then it sounds. The coplete lack of any visual readout or multiple direct-command buttons (play, pause, skip etc) just doesn't feel right, and makes the device seem clumsy. As for the hardware, it works acceptably, it's small and looks good, and the audio is as good as any other decent player. Personally, this is not for me and I would not buy it for myself or as a present for someone, not at the current price of forty-four pounds.

I got the tic toc, because I was sick of my big heavy mp3 players, I never used the screen on my old one, and I thought it would be perfect. Its tiny and compact perfect for the handbag, clipped onto your jeans, or shoved in your pocket. :)
The sound quality is very nice, much better than I expected.
